Surely You Jest will be the first independent feature film
produced by Runes Picture Company.

Writer/Director Lisa Wardell originally conceived this fantasy
action-adventure as a play for her Shakespeare theater company in Idaho.
The idea was to create a story that would turn the typical fairytale world topsy-turvy! It all began with a question. In a fairytale, who is the most unlikely person to win the heart of the Princess? The court jester, of course! And so the hero of the story was born, the quick-witted and carefree, Hal.

Several years and rewrites later, the project was further developed and chosen to be the company’s first feature length film. Presently, Runes Picture Company is in the fund-raising stage of development.
